I’m going flat. There are too many detail and panel line on this kit, gloss will not be a good choice. But I think I go for a much softer red since is a Katoki version. 🙂

Just in case you want to paint the sinanju like the titanium color coat. Is pretty simple, Gaianote Starbright silver, then coat with Gaianote clear red. Depend how many coat you want, darker red need more.
I did mine, with 2 coat. Still working on it. And yes, painting it need patient as clear color tend to runny than normal color.

The best gloss coat is urethane clear. All real car use the same type of urethane clear, same goes with most pro builder.
I myself still prefer using Mr. Hobby GX clear and Gaianotes EX- clear.
I don’t think which clear is matter, since car builder will still need to polish it. 🙂

Since you are an experience modeler, there shouldn’t be any problem for you moving to another model field. The only different is Game workshop figures are mainly hand painting, blending with minimum airbrush job. But still do ‘battle damage’ like a military, if I not wrong.
Here’s the different. Usually beginner in building Gunpla model either…[Read more]

So you can cut 2 tall drain on each side. Purpose is one ‘in’ and the other ‘out’, so air can get out when you pour your resin in. Just another tip, in case you don’t have resin, you can use polyester putty mix with thinner into liquid form and pour in. 🙂

my opinion.
Boxy looking gundam look more cool in flat than gloss. Gloss finish is better on rounded model. This step might help you a little bit. lol…
1. color, 2. gloss coat, 3. panel lining, 4. flat coat.If you got decal on it, then it will fall after step 1.
