I’ve built the mass production and this is one hell of a kit. The only complaints I’ve had are the shoulders can pop out if you’re not careful and (for me at least) it’s really hard to find batteries for the mono eye.

I’ve built the “PG MS-06F Zaku II 30th Anniversary Extra Finish Version”. It was lot of fun but, as Nick said, shoulder mounting is really loose… arms can pop out when you try to pose the model.
Also, the lighting circuit is … well… ridicoulous. It needs a miracle to works, better modify it with normal wiring.

Yes i know what you mean about the wiring for the mono eye , had me swearing for quite some time trying to get the wires screwed in with the small metal connectors without it all falling out as soon as you get the screw driver near them! I think the batteries i have arent think enough to make the connections when its all put together so i will have to hunt some down , the mono eye does light dimly if i put the connection from one of them against the wires leading to it so i think i got half lucky. I agree that just a quick bit of soldering would make it allot better though. I have spent some time on a few details with my markers , only realising it would never be seen unless i have the model in bits lol. I will stick to brush painting the few details that will be visible behind movable flaps etc ie the back of the legs. In the future when i am more confident with an air brush i might paint the armour. I have head and arms built so far and to be honest i was expecting more detail especially on the exterior , but this is an old kit now i guess and the internal frame detail , even though you will mostly not see it is impressive. I guess after building the real grade it just shows its age , but if they do release a new pg with the external details we see in the rg line and the internals of the pg line i will be first in the que 🙂
