Did i talk to you yesterday at the shop??? I brought my kits to the counter and the person i spoke to told me that i had “good taste”. Was that you? The blue is such a cool color on this kit but i doubt there is a color that matches up in spray form. I may end up doing some type of purple/gold custom scheme. I won’t be purchasing an airbrush…[Read more]
Super excited today. I found an HGUC Jagd Doga at a local shop in Orlando. I also grabbed an Evangelion Mark.06. My question for you guys is, have any of you painted a Jagd Doga? If so, are there spray colors out there that accommodate the color scheme? Thanks in advance for you help!
Wow, your timing was perfect. They just restocked there yesterday! I actually had the Quess Jagd Doga in my hand yesterday before grabbing another kit.
Also, to answer your question: Are you looking to build it stock colors, or custom? If it’s the latter, the sky’s the limit. If it’s stock colors, that’s a crap shoot. Some spray paints MIGHT come close, but the only real way to get it down exactly is to mix your own colors and use an airbrush or hand paint.

I just looked up the de active suites from Seed. That is definitely pretty darn close to my scheme! I started watching Seed at one point but just couldnt get into it. Should i try again? Does it get better hopefully?
Well i tried to give him a paint job and let’s just say that i overdid it on the paint application. All I really need to do is strip the paint and start over. What are your recommendations for stripping paint? I have heard break fluid is a really easy way to do it but am kind of scared to try. That stuff is toxic!
Ahh, okay. Thank goodness it’s just a paint mishap. You got three options for stripping paint: Simple Green, Purple Power, and Denatured Alcohol. All are safe on plastics, won’t make them brittle or weak.
You can actually use normal alcohol too, but I don’t read about it being used often so my second-hand knowledge is weak on that.
Thanks Dlinker! I recently bought that MG Nu Gundam and royally screwed it up so i decided to go ahead and do a fully painted RG. With the help you guys have given me so far i feel like i am learning by trial and error at a decent pace.

I went over there an hour before close yesterday, so I’m sorry to say that was not me.
Oh okay. I really like that shop. Has alot of good stock. Maybe we will run into eachother there someday…
