Cockpit fun!
Okay, the seat is in and the controls are set to what I’m hoping to reflect on the control surfaces. Sorry about the poor pic quality 🙁 Now to lock all the detail away where it can’t be seen without a dental tool. Ha! View
I wish i were that sick! It actually comes pre-cut. But I fold and glue it as sick as I can 😉 There are some structural parts I made that are further in the wings but it turns out that they are invisible from every angle.
Building up the internal wing detail and inserting into the wing. Not pictured: lots and lots of cutting,sanding and test fitting. Starting on the engine too.

I like your plans for upping an egg-plane. Showing skill and still keeping it fun. Also your book has the NINA II on it! That plane was on display where I lived and I saw it weekly. 🙂
Got the cockpit together. Posed the controls to hopefully match what I want to later do with the control surfaces on the wings and tail. Sorry for the picture quality.
I sure love adding detail that can now only be seen with a dental mirror. Ha!
That’s super work! I like the contrast of the clean pilot and the dirty vehicle. The only thing I can think of would be to connect the two by having something of the vehicle on her. Like the heart could also be on her helmet or as a tattoo. Sort of a link to have the two matching in one way. But I’m being more artsy and not modely here…[Read more]
That’s right, these are photo-etch. You can find sets of these for different scales/ time periods/ countries/ even army or navy. I prefer the ones that are made from brass more because they are easy to bend for a more natural look. Also there are paper ones that can be found sometimes.
