Shibuya 109, a department store famous in Japan as a sanctuary for young women from the gyaru subculture, is being taken over by a familiar figure beginning this week! That’s right, this iconic building known as THE fashion spot in Japan is hosting the ever-beloved Sanrio character Kuromi until November 21st, 2021!
There will be a super cute photo-spot for all the best selfies you can take, plus some out-of-this-world collaborations with popular fashion brands like ‘Secret Honey’ and ‘Honey Cinnamon.’ And, not only will there be tons of Kuromi visuals and decorations all around Shibuya 109 – it looks like Kuromi will be overtaking almost all of Shibuya itself, with her lovely little figure being found in decorations all around the city!
