nicee..do you thin down the vallejo air and if yes what do you use? I’ve never get around using vallejo other than Tamiya paints
I use Vallejo air for most of my projects and I find they generally don’t need thinning. If they do, I stick with the Vallejo thinner. I’ve tried isopropyl and the Tamiya thinner, but they turn the Vallejo into a clumpy mess. Something about the chemistry just does not mix.
With that said, I’ve never seen this ‘Metal Medium’ before. How’s it work, and what’s it supposed to do?
Hi, I use Vallejo Model Air because I’m a beginner and you can use them without thinning (well.. almost all of them but not all).
When I have to thin i always use Vallejo Airbrush thinner (i tend to follow the rule: same brand for combinations).
The metal medium is used to give metal shine to a given color. Instructions says 50% color and 50% metal medium, and seems to be correct in my little experience.. In this case you have to thin a lot because the metal medium is soooo thick!!
