Macross Kits 8 years, 5 months ago I have to say this kit is amazing, it looks wicked and it’s big, but I messed up at the end of the build, I forgot to gloss coat, and as a result de decals have alot of silvering, at the begining i thught it woudn´t be such a great deal, but it shows alot, anyway, I think the colours look very nice on this SV-51.

thanks, but I’ll redo this one, the silvering its just too much, I think I´ll “experiment a little with this kit, some new weathering teqniques that can be applyed over the flat coat, or maybe even practice some battle damage…
to avoid silvering, I put the decals with some Klir (future ?) and then, pass either setting solution or other coat on it
If I have silvering, i try to make tiny incisions with a new X-acto sword, and fill “the gap” with clear coat to get it in, and the, re-do the clear on the model
I’m very greatfull on this tip, I’ll try it on the next build
