Hi, my name is Wil. I’ve seen a lot of the pictures here of custom Gunpla. I was hoping somebody could help direct me to someone who takes commissions, I love gundam but I suck at kit modeling and kitbashing is beyond my league. I respect the amount of time that goes into these builds. I was hoping someone would know anybody who takes commissions, possibly in the USA so I can spend money on the commission and not the shipping?

    • I would be more than happy to do commission work. What kind of kit were you thinking? Do you know what grade of kit you are thinking of? Lemme know what you are looking for and ill let you know if i can do it. I live on the east coast of the US so shipping won’t be a huge price tag. Take a look at my work and lemme know if you are still interested.

    • What are you looking for in a custom job? Being more descriptive on what you want will better help to find someone that can do the work.

Are you looking for someone to just build the kit, paint it standard colors, decals, etc?
Are you looking for someone to build the kit and do a custom color paint job?
Are you looking for someone to do a kitbash?
Are you looking for someone to do a kit bash with some custom made parts?
Are you looking for someone to take a kit and get insane with it by creating custom parts?

This kind of information helps you find someone to do the work, and also helps with the price tag. For example having someone just build, decal and paint the kit would obviously be rather cheap(stock color and custom color should hold no difference unless you’re wanting something particular in a paint job, like lots of colors, special effects, etc), While kitbashing would be more costly. The most expensive job you can ask for is someone to craft custom parts for the kit, as this would involve someone that either has good sculpting skills and resin casting equipment, or someone with a 3D printer. The cost of the materials they use, plus the time spent designing the parts is what will kill in you price.

However, if a kitbash is what you want, but you’re open to ideas or have no idea what you want exactly, then finding someone with unused ideas, or possibly ones they can and will replicate is the best.
