Hi pals !This week-end I’ve done another Macross Custom, this time from Macross Frontier – and NOT a variable fighter !
As I got way too much model kits and proders boxes that invades me, and fill all my rooms till the top, I must say I am in a curious “assembling” road.
So I took the box on Saturday, about 14h00, and after about 24h00 of work on it, the custom was done.
I must say it’s unusual to see this type of mecha in the Macross Custom Sheets, but this one is in 1/35 scale, and is the “Beatrice” IFV that is crushed by the big red Vajra, in the first episode !Classic Trumpeter kit of real-life B1 Centauro, with some minor modifications and you got it, in a non-classic but classy 3-tones of grey camo (as depicted in the Macross Chronicles volume), with heavy weathering for a “futuristic anime” IFV.
So, here it is, tell me what you think about !
A base should be done for it very soon, too (like cracked and crushed asphalt or so).-

Wow, Im not into tanks, they all look very similar in my taste, but this one in my opinion looks amazing, like a tank should look like, amazing weathering and the camo its gorgeos the tools on the side the mud on the back and the tires, this one it’s just perfect, I have to say, this is the best work Ihave seen on this group and this site.
Thank you Angelizer !
My first Frontier Custom ^^
where did you get your hands on this one and the salan Scout? I have been trying to get some “rare” parts and models like a fold booster and missiles for the YF-19, or the ghost for the VF- on 1/72 scale, do you know a site where I can find them?
Wow
you can find the Salan scout in both scales (2500 and 5000) on Starship Modeler’s webshop.
The Ghost booster in 1/72, is only available with the VF-0A/S with Ghost Booster model kit (rare, try on ebay as it has not been reissued if I don’t mistake).
The Fold Booster and Missiles for the YF19, I guess it’s resin-made, another expensive event-only-made.
Despite the missiles can be found (not spare parts though) in the last YF-19 box by Hasegawa : YF-19 with High-manoeuver missiles
The “Beatrice” I made, is made with a Trumpeter 1/35 B1 Centauro early, wich doesn’t display the turret armor on the pictures (neither on the instructions) but has the parts in the box…
thanks, I’ve tryed on e-bay but the prices for the kit with ghost are stupid high, more than $100 US dollars
I will ask some friends if they have it in stock and tell you if they can sell one 😉
The best should be to wait for another reissue by Hasegawa, I think it should come in 2015 for the anniversary of Macross Zero…
Hasegawa’s reedit the VF0 “slick versions” and reactive armor, plus slick version of SV51… seen on HLJ yesterday ^^
maybe the boosted versions will arrive next ?
I really hope so, bit I doont keep my hopes to high, because of what they did for the aniversary of macross pluss, they released a YF-19 eggplane with fold booster…. who the hell decide to do that????
If you know someone who has any of those models at a reasonable price, please let me know ill be forever thankfull
