    • wht is the email address for bandai pls tell me soon ive been waiting on genteikits but its been a few monthes and nothing happend i really need to fix my impulse so i can paint it i need a new head and arm piece

      • I’m sorry to hear about your problem. Bandai are only interested in talking to people inside Japan, so there is no e-mail address I can give you.
I hope you don’t mind that I looked on your profile and found that you are American?
Do you still have the box your Impulse came in?
Does it have the Bluefin Distribution sticker on it? It’s huge you can’t miss it. If so you can ask them for help.
Other than that there is not much more you can do other than to e-mail Travis at Gentei kits again and ask for an update.
I hope this helps and good luck.

        • sadly theres no bluefin label on it i got it back when i was hong kong came back to the us and then during disasembalay for the painting i broke it

          • That’s sucks man. The way I see it you only have three options left.

            1. You can repair it yourself with putty and glue.

            2. You can buy another kit for an extra pieces. Have you looked on ebay for a cheap used kit? Could could ask around the Gundam groups on Facebook. HLJ sponsor the IT’S A GUNDAAAAAAM!!!!!! group on Facebook. Perhaps some there has on old kit you can buy the head and arm off.

            3. Wait until Gentei kits can order you a replacement.

            Good luck

    • I’m in doubt now. You stated that they won’t speak to people outside Japan. And the person in this video is from the Philippines…?
And thebanshee13 is from the United States, therefor North America. The mail in the video shows clearly: “Please note in advance that these policies are valid in North American area and Italy.”
How is it then that you can’t give him an email address? Or any other way to contact them? Or is the video from YouTube you posted not your property? If that’s the case, please inform us of that, so we can try to contact the rightful owner for contact information. It will make a lot of people on this site very happy. Thanks in advance

      • You should be in doubt, I’m in doubt! I see from your profile that you’re from The Netherlands. I hope you don’t mind me reading that. I’m from the UK. Gundam and Gunpla is virtually unknown here and I don’t think Bandai really cares about changing that.

I want to make some thing clear. I have managed to order replacements from Bandai and I will tell you how I did. But first, all the orders for replacement parts go to the Bandai Hobby Centre where they are made. This centre is not very big and as such cannot accommodate everyone in the world so they limit themselves to Japan, and they are VERY strict about that. If you live in a country with an official distributor of Gunpla I.E. Blue-fin for the USA you can appeal through them as explained in the video.

Apart from moving to Japan there is another option, the one I choice, but you’re not going to like it. Genteikits.com has a part replacement service. They are based in Japan and have been the ‘Go to place’ for people in your situation for years. However Bandai are no longer accepting orders from them and it unclear why. This is their website: http://parts.genteikits.com/

Most people I’ve spoken with are hold their breath for this to change.

Rumour has it that Bandai will be starting a world wide part replacement service. This was something I heard earlier this year when I looking for replacement parts. I have no idea if it is true, but we can dream.

HLJ will replace broken or missing pieces if that helps.

        http://www.hlj.com/helpcenter/parts.html

The only other thing I can suggest is Facebook. HLJ sponsors the ‘IT’S A GUNDAAAAAAM!!!!!!’ group with its near 6000 members. If you post your problem there perhaps some one will have spare piece for you.

I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help!

        • Of course I don’t mind you reading that. I myself have no problems with broken parts, but I would like to see things change for all the people who have. And that’s the reason I try to get as much as information on the subject as I can.
Thanks for making this clear to us all. I wasn’t aware of genteikits.com not being able to place orders anymore. But I was aware of many people having their orders up for months without any replies….
And I find it a shame that Gundam and Gunpla isn’t known as it should in these parts of the world. When people ask me what I build, I always have to explain them what a Gundam is, and most of the times they don’t get it, why a grown up build toy robots. Then I invite them to watch a episode. Those who do get it right away.
You don’t have to apologize, you have given this community a lot of info on how to get in contact with other resources for getting broken parts replaced. On behalf of all those unlucky builder out there, thank you very much for the extra info and taking your time to reply. Happy building

          • Thank you for your kind words! I do try my best to help people but I’m only one man. I started this group to get people swapping extra pieces but it’s not been a huge success.
As for the popularity of Gundam. I don’t know about The Netherlands but in the UK it’s been steadily rising. Mostly with sci-fi fan and not anime fans strangely enough. Bandai tried establishing Gundam in the UK in 2000/1 but with TV adverts like these you can see why it was a failure.

            • You’re welcome. Credit where credit is due!
It is a good try from you, getting people started in sharing their extra parts. As with all good idea’s, it takes time to catch on. The biggest problem, I think, is that most people have the same parts that are extra’s on runners, and those parts aren’t the one to get broken or misplaced. This group is still young, but I believe that as time passes it will grow.
Of course it would help if we could get some Japanese people on here that are willing to order for some people that need it, for a small fee of course. Most people don’t help one another for free. Which is shamefully a problem this day and age.
And you are just one man, but some am I. And so are lots of people here, and some women too…., but together we can help those who need it. I don’t know if you ever visit the Q/A & Help section, but if you’d take a look there, you’ll see, you’re not alone in this. We’re in it together!
Thanks for sharing the commercial from Bandai. I see your point. In the Netherlands they aired Gundam Wing in the late 90’s. In the early 00’s I even found a 1/100 No Grade Wing Gundam and a 1/144 Epyon at a “Big” toy store over here. Alas the hype didn’t catch on. Maybe because the public wasn’t aware of the presence of these model kits…..
And it’s because of HLJ I’m able to get them here. There is E-Bay of course, but those prices…
Anyway, thanks again for sharing the info and the commercial. If there ever is something I can help you with, please leave me a post, on the Q/A & Help group or just send me a PM. Happy building!

              • I wouldn’t say it’s shameful. The reason people in Japan won’t offer this service is because they would have thousand of people sending orders. It would have to be a business for them and as we’ve been Gentei kits, Bandai can’t guarantee supply. It’s just not practical.
I am familiar with the Q/A & Help section. I’ve posted questions and answers. I don’t usually got there as there are far better modellers on this site than me, who are more qualified to answer people’s questions. People post questions on one of the Gundam Groups on Facebook that I am in, and if they don’t get a response I will answer. I’ve helpped a few people and made a few friend, which is cool.
In the UK we got Gundam Wing in 2000 on Cartoon Network (A Satellite channel) so not many people watched it. The toys and models did get sold on the High Street but most people didn’t know what they were from. I bought them!
When I got back into Gundam after university it was on thanks to HLJ. Before them I was buying gunpla out of magazines.
Thanks for offering to help but I’m not sure what you can do. I’m not sure what I can do. But we’re only a community if we look out for each other. So in the words of the great Bill and Ted ‘Be excellent to each other’ and spread the word of Gunpla in your local community.
The same goes for me. If you need anything or if you just want to chat, PM me. 😉

    • yes and confirmation was very quick. This was before their great back long.

    • pretty quick. E-mail them again.
