Anyone watch the Gundam 35th anniversary announcement live stream?
No because I don’t speak Japanese. What did they say?
I think you’ve seen/heard of it now. They showed new trailer for Unicorn Episode 7, teaser for the new Gundam series, “Gundam Reconguista in G” and “The Origin I.” And the announcement of the new 1/1 scale Gundam statue, although they haven’t said which MS it’s going to be (*cough Char’s Zaku *cough *cough)
Some I’ve seen some I’ve not. I saw the trailer for Unicorn Episode 7 this morning and the Zaku statue was leaked weeks ago, not to mention in Build Fighters. I did not know about ‘Gundam Reconquista in G’ until just now. The art style looks very different to Gundam’s. It hasn’t got me excited but that Origin trailer has! If ‘Gundam Reconquista in G’ is going to be a new series THIS YEAR(!!!) then do you think The Origin will take a form similar to Gundam Unicorn with hour long movies?
I need to see more of Reconguista. And The Origin has got me really excited as well and I believe they will be series of movies like Unicorn.
The Bandai Channel says “We’re Sorry. Our current service is not available in your country.” But there are links to http://www.gundam-the-origin.net/ (which has a few pics that should be recognizable to anyone who’s read Gundam: The Origin vol. 5) and http://www.g-reco.net/ (which has a mech that looks like a mashup of Gundam Exia and AGE-1 Normal).

Reconquista in G has me thinking that the Mech could be the “White Devil” from the dark history of Turn-A with its reversed V-Blade, there’s a noticeable drop in the animation quality so it could be heading to TV toward the end of the year.
The Origin doesn’t have a noticeable drop in quality so it looks as though it will be an OVA release.
The Animation in that Reconquista in G is pretty horrible, I honestly hope that isn’t finished artwork as if that is it’s pretty bad.
