My apt is a basement apt. Whoever shoveled outside this week piled the snow against the house, and blocked the rain spouts. Tonight the snow turned to rain, so all that water that would normally be moved away from the house got trapped behind a snow pile. Only place it could go was through a crack in the foundation. I just spent an hour outside chiseling at ice and shoveling it all away. My back, which has been recuperating from a fall last month, is in all kinds of pain again. ;_;
Sorry man that’s terrible. I can only imagine how much got messed up from it too especially any fiber board furniture.
I feel your pain. The weather here has been much the same, and I’ve been forced to keep an eye on my basement in case it floods as a result.
