Gundam Forums 9 years ago Small update on the KA build. I wanted to integrate parts from the Zaku Amazing booster, but aside from the missile pod/knife holster attachment, everything is just a hair to big to fit onto the kit where I want, so it’s either back to the drawing board, or I cast and modify some pieces so that they fit. I also started painting some parts of the kit. I’ll try to supply as many pics as possible during the build, but I want to keep the pilot’s identity/theme a surprise, so I’ll be carefully cropping pics toward the end once the personalization details start showing up.
Sorry for the lighting on these pics. Since I haven’t detailed or top coated the painted parts yet, the light is bouncing off the pearl and gloss paints something fierce!

Thanks, Bossguy! I was originally going to go with a predominantly red scheme, but after seeing how a lot of the armor components overlap on the K.A., I realized it lends itself really well to a two-tone one.
Yeah, the part thing is really irking me. All the commercials attached to build fighter tout the versatility of the booster packs, but it looks like the Amazing Booster is limited only to kits of Zaku-like design.
Yeah, a two-tone color scheme will look great with minimal effort, thanks to the parts separation.
That’s really strange. Bandai is marketing the whole BF line towards customizing, but some parts won’t even work with other kits.
Yeah, the Amazing Booster takes some work to attach its parts to the KA. Kinda jealous that you’ve already started to paint yours. I just primed mine this past weekend and I have to re-prime several pieces today after fixing issues.
D, don’t be jealous. You’re being thurough. I’m being slightly haphazard with my approach because of multiple deadlines.

Lol, now you know how I felt when you all were getting your kits while mine was stuck in shipping limbo XD
Interesting color scheme. Can’t to see some more. I actually started on mine this past weekend. I got the head modification all ready and was able to get the entire chest and waist sections de-nubbed.
