It’s been a few weeks since I last posted an update but I finally got the MG Exia Ignition Mode all built. I still have to put the decals & dry transfers on it but I am going to wait for a weekend where it is not so humid so I can do them and then top coat all at once.

For it being my first MG, it was quite the experience. It feels extremely satisfying getting the frame built and then putting the armor on after that compared to just slapping it together like you do with HGs. I can’t wait to get my hands on my next MG (aside from my Sinanju ver Ka :P) and build a friend for this Exia.

    • this was my first mg as well as gundam model kit that I built

    • my first build ever, it’s pretty good

      • Yea it’s very solid, the only nitpick I have is that the green & white pieces on the side of Exia’s head fall out quite easily if you mess with the head too much. Did you have that problem with yours?

        • On my Exia Ignition mode (my 3rd MG after my Red frame and Blitz)the head clear parts are fine, but my leg clear pieces fall out a bit too easily instead :P. I manages to fix it by getting the tiniest bit of glue on the edge of the clear green piece. This gives it just enough friction to stay in place long enough for it to be posed, but won’t be stuck in there forever.
If you wanted to try this on the head the best place to do this would be on the green part that touches the white piece so that it would keep them both in place with that little bit of extra friction :).

    • Well done bro @superxvegito and congrats on your first MG… Next up, your first PG perhaps?

    • Well done Bro! Congrats on your first MG. @superxvegito When I was building mine, I kind of suspected already that there will be some problem with the clear parts so what I did is I avoided shaving off too much of the nubs. I left about less than a milimeter of plastic so it will have a tight fit. Especially the clear one. 🙂

      • Thanks man! Yea that was some good thinking. Going to have to go for good old glue, but if I do it carefully I think I can get it in there clean.
