Hi, I recently completed a MG Zeta plus in a digital camo and one of the guys asked me how I did it so I thought I put some pics up in here.
The model was first painted in a dark grey then masked with little squares of tape you can see in the second pic. I could have saved time by cutting larger shapes but I thought the smaller squares gave a more realistic camo it just took a lot longer to do.
Once that was masked I sprayed a medium grey then masked again and finally covered the model in a very light grey.
After this last coat was dry I peeled the tape which took just as long and was very messy trust me – I found tiny squares walked all over the house and stuck to my clothes for days after LOL
The finished pics can be seen here – http://www.hobbylink.tv/groups/completed-gunplamodels/
holy crap dude. that would have been quite the mission. well done. one of the best digital camo jobs I’ve seen in a while 😀 two thumbs up!!!!!!
Very nicely done!
Thanks chaps!
Thanks for the info
Talk about patience… I guess doing tiny squares is the only way to do this now since the digital camo sheet was discontinued. I wanted to do something lie this but the kit I was going for just won’t come to stock an ebay guys ask for too much.
RESPECT!
