If you airbrush, use tamiya masking tape (3m is garbage for this task) to mask off areas not to be painted, either don’t thin or thin less than ideal to paint the model so that the paint won’t get into the masking tape and bleed out (tree roots effect). If paint is too thin, do light coats in layers.
In the last pic, the black was a bit too thin.
Any paints will do. Just the technique. After painting, do a gloss coat. Then panel lines and decals and maybe wash (extra thin paints). Finally, a matt coat.
