JMSDF Hyuga, from Aoshima.
A very nice waterline model, to which I added Pit-Road JMSDF helicopter set. Both were bought from hlj.
Some railing was added from Flyhawk models JMSDF railing, and the figures are the excellent Eduard naval figures PE set, which is already pre colored.
The Model was painted with Tamiya’s acrylics, and after a layer of clear, the decals were added.
Hi,
What I do for the runway usually is airbrush it dark gray. Then I mask it with “post it” notes which have very weak glue, and then spray the rest of the body light gray.
My primer has a weak bond unfortunately, and when I tried to mask the runway using masking tape the paint just lift off the model.. so “post it” is very suitable for this purpose I think.

That is awsome, I’m building a 1/720 enterprise carrier and trying to paint the runway, do you have any pointers on the best way to paint it?
