that picture is a limited edition kit i dont remember exactly where it came from but it came out a whiile ago. if ur planning to paint that kind of similar effect u wont be able to do it perfectly but its id prob use some kind of silver/aluminum and mix it with some white to achieve that effect

Would you happen to know if Mr Metallic Color Gx is lacquer based?

im pretty sure mr metallics are laquer based because alot of the mr colors/ mr whtevers are generally laquers unless there are some exceptions which i doubt
