What are you building? 8 years, 4 months ago Well since there are no decals for the chassis of the tank (at least for the version im doing). I tried doing the weathering of it. I think it still needs some improvements. Its looks kind of hard now but after 2 clear coats it should blend more. After the first one ill see if i redoo some parts of it if it will become to subtle. Also decided to go gunmetal+ black wash for the power cables and the guns. I think it came along nicely.
PS. Are those waterslides?

The decals look like they’re cut pretty close to the graphic which often hints towards waterslides. If you try bending the decal sheet you can see if the decals peel off a bit or not to see if it’s peel-off or waterslide.
Wow great work! Been wanting to pick this little guy up myself. Does this one require glue? I know he is pretty old in terms of models go.
Yes it requires glue. I had to use tape to hold some pieces when i was deciding on how to modify them for easier painting. Also i managed to glue in the left manipulator wrist while i was doing the forearm.
There were also some problems with some parts not fitting correctly. In my case that was the head. Had to fill some seams on the bottom of the head and some small on top. Also had to sand the top part of the visor a bit cause it wasnt even.
Also no polycaps on this kit. Its all plastic on plastic on all connections. Was thinking for a couple of days on how to do the head since the neck needed to be put into torso before you glue the two parts. Yeah torso was only 2 parts + 3 parts to make the hands move).
I did 5 really old kits and i think its the one that have aged the best. Maybe due to the fact that it doesnt have legs ^^
