Update on the Aoshima DeLorean as seen here: https://hobbylink.tv/activity/p/143388/. The hardest part so far is deciding that to glue and what not to glue so as to still be able to paint and decal everything that needs to later. Otherwise, assembly is progressing smoothly.

Also, I happen to have some tiny hinges lying around. It’s a damn shame that this model kit does not have seagull doors that actually open. Dunno if this will bump this entry to intermediate level (assuming I don’t wreck the whole thing). I don’t have an airbrush and my painting skills are so so.

Forget the door mod. Get the paint right. Spray paints are ok. No automotive ones. Wood/plastic ones. Get some Tamiya masking tape for the skirt/bumper trims. Do silver first, then black. Don’t go too thick in one go. Keep misting it on every 30 mins or so until full coverage.

    • sorry, didn’t see that post. I don’t really like that idea. It’s an extra cost and I’m not comfortable with spray paint cans and anything that could gco wrong with those would be irreversible. I can still scrape off mistakes with acrylic paint and try again

It’s too late anyway I cut out the seagull doors and mounted them with hinges.
