I’ve painted the first of the Zaku platoon and as with the GM, I went with the Real Type colour scheme (even though it has some Amazing Booster Parts) as I didn’t have a colour chart while buying the paint.
I’ll still need to add details, but fortunately Waves X-Decal 4 has most of what I need, specifically a white arrow to go on the right leg to…[Read more]
Seeing the Ver. Ka in this episode reminds me that I’ve still got mine boxed and untouched as I’m currently assembling platoons of HG Zakus & GMs. Right now I’m in a bind as I’ve been painting a version of the Real Type GM that features additional markings not featured on the original. There are some Waterslide Decals up on HLJ from Gesse/G…[Read more]
As I mentioned in my comment for episode 180 I’ve painted up this HG GM to resemble the Real type version. I’m considering using white Letraset stencils for the markings on the red sections.
Having seen a preview of Gundam: The Origin, Blue Eyed Casval I noticed that the MS-06R used by the Black Tri-Stars is based on the established MSV version. This got me thinking about whether the construction of the legs for the Origin Ver. Zaku will be similar to the MS-06 which could make it possible to Make a Zaku II Johnny Ridden Custom Origin…[Read more]
I have switched browsers from Chrome to Firefox which should allow me to post progress with my Master Grade Strike E+IWSP which I’d received partially assembled and with a f…
The Connector is made using Putty and similar parts of the Strike Noir to make a mold. The results are far from perfect as there was a little chipping when I opened the mold and there is a 1mm gap between the back of the Strike-E and the IWSP which is only really noticeable from the side.
The back Skirt was made using Milliput to make a mold using similar parts of a Strike Noir. Initial results were far from perfect which lead to the use of Builders Parts MS Thruster to replace the vents.
The Strike-E, The MS Blade is noticeably shorter than the one originally designed for this kit, naturally I had to make alterations to the vertical blades, adjusting the length and adding a curve to allow for the angle for the horizontal blade.
I’ve had the AGE-1 Razor parts for a while and eventually got around to getting the AGE-1 Normal which I hastily put together so I could paint it at a later date.
Today I decided to get it out of the way as I had already received a pot of Mr Metallic Green, but while taking the feet off I accidentally snapped it off.
I watched episode 143 and have to say that a 1/144 NZ-999 Neo Zeong would be a monster of a kit. If you’ve seen pictures, you’ll notice that the Sinanju fits inside in a similar fashion to the way the GP-03 fit inside the Dendrobium. The mechanical files at gundamunicorn.net even has the overall hight as 116.0 metres which, when scaled back to…[Read more]
And because its the 35th anniversary of the one year war, a new website http://www.gundam35th.net has been launched in anticipation of an announcement at 5PM on March 20th 2014 which could be quite topical when you get around to filming an episode around that time (cough, cough, Origin).
Purely out of curiosity, I’ve noticed that the number of comments for Episode 142 has grown to two pages and the numbering on thesecond page goes back to 1. Does this make it harder to pick a number at random or would you have already shot the episode and announced your decision before a 785th comment would be posted?
