I have a bit of fear towards lacquer based coats. Don’t get me wrong, I believe their top coats are premium quality however, being a lacquer made me worry of the effect it may have on enamel and/or acrylic paints I may use. Hi Syd and Ryan, great show as per normal, are you looking forward to Shizuoka and have any kits you secretly can’t wait to see besides the Neo Zeong (even my wife said “How come you haven’t pre-ordered one?”)?
Seems to be a surprisingly good metallic paint, pain to clean out of the airbrush though, or if the mix just a smidge too thick and having to give a quick blast into the exhaust fan.
Actually the bottom of the feet and paw pads, sounds like a good idea, I think if I did anything more than that, it would distract from the rest of the scheme.
I was thinking more about the Giants colours, was thinking Orange for the center chest piece, nose and mouth area, the ankle disc pieces, and the fists, then use the away colour (grey) for the joints, and then paint everything else gloss black, with an SF Giants logo in the center of the forehead?
