Thx man, it is hard to cover everything in just 8 pics. I have seen it all a lot, but someone, who hasn’t seen it before, will not get all thats there.
Honestly the images you have shown tell the story rather well, you can see the pilot has passed on either by my first guess would be dehydration or was fataly wounded in battle and has died next to his/her scopedog and that the pilots body is the only source of food for miles that the poor vulture can scavenge.
Now I am thinking, to add the rest of a campfire next to the stones in front of the scopedog. So the pilot had shot the animal and stayed over night, or a few days and left the corps behind. Making the vulture a happy guy. 🙂 happy end….
Freaking beautiful. They say the judges will have their work cut out, I think it’s the opposite. It’s been how many years since the last competition. The builders have much better skill sets.
I just had fun.. most of the time.. hrhr. Seriously the two skills you need most is patience and a calm hand. There is so much on this kit, I haven’t done, before. You can call it a quite successful experiement so far.Scratchbuilding or modelling something out of clay is for sure none of my talents..
I avoid putting a varnish over the weathering. I put it on after bascoats and decals, to save the paint, while working on it with thinners and stuff. Otherwise it kills all the efford put into the weathering. changes colors, unifies the shine, and so on. For a shiny gloss kit, it is for sure different.

Even 3MB to upload it here is often to small And it is of not matter in the forum. But on the competition it is very much about the true shadings and details, that makes a difference.
Picsize is def a problem for me too.
Its rusting right now. The Tokyo watch says, I am just 7 hours behind. So tomorrow at 5pm is the final blow. But I think, I can enter it today. Those were some long days and nights during the past 2weeks…
