For smaller decals, due to smaller sticky surface area, you can try Mr. Mark Setter as well. Since Phenex has a special coating on it, I would try the Mr. Mark Setter on one of the runners first, to ensure it doesn’t damage the coating.
Syd and Ryan, which day(s) will you be at the booth during Anime Expo? I assume you’ll be there the whole time from 2nd to 5th?
I’ll be on business trip to Calgary, Canada the week before the expo. Hopefully I can get away couple of days early before the 4th of July weekend and fly to LA for the expo.
Interesting if Bandai does it. Chrome was the normal version of 1.0, and the matte gold like the 2.0 was the HD version, which was limited and more of a premium at the time.
When I first got out college( and interning during), I spent couple years as injection mold designer/engineer for making parts and devices for biomedical and life science industry. My dad has been a tool maker for most of his life. We are just scratching our heads and drooling over how Bandai can mold these amazing runners.
5 years are probably still too soon for 3D printed kits. In injection molding world, the term “cycle time” is being used a lot. I’m considering going to Anime Expo so I can meet Brian and Syd! I assume there will be a HLJ booth their? I’m on the East Coast though, so will have to arrange the airplane ticket and hotels.
