So I finally got it in! The 1/100 Barbatos kit! Was so excited to get my first shipment from HLJ and to find out what this not-Mastergrade model was, so I built the frame:) Though it may not be quite as complicated as Mastergrades, it’s super interesting! One of my favourite inner frames so far.
While IBO seems off to a good start, the latest thing we are hearing about it is there aren’t enough battles, and that there are too many episodes where there is only talking. What do people here think? Personally I’m loving the high-quality fight scenes when they come, and I appreciate the character development, etc of the other episodes.
Yep, not having battles in every episode, and then the battles are good makes you enjoy them much more 😀 And I do love what they are doing now, eps 7 and 8 most likely – ep 7- MS battle and ending of it ; ep 8 – what happened on the enemy ship at the same time as the MS battle 🙂
Pretty sick battle! Also starting to like all the armour swapping going on. I still prefer what looks like the Barbatos’ original shoulders, but the blue ones off the Graze actually look pretty cool here.
The show seems to really be taking its time, which I think I like – developing characters and the world, etc. I hope that means there will be lots of episodes. But of course really looking forward to more of the fighting.
And still can’t wait for my 1/100 barbatos next month!
A really good start, the anime look really nice,, nice suits, and a good feeling in the story. Hope that i will continue in the same track. And i rally hope that this will be a ground series, like The 08th Ms Team, and don’t end up space.
But they will have to venture into space if they are to escort Kudelia Aina Bernstein to Earth from Mars. They’re even in space during the opening credits!
It may just be but what I find most refreshing about this new series is how dark it is in nature, Its really not spoon feeding you kid morality crap which is rare.
Judging from the third episode, I’d say the orphans really earn the title “iron blooded,” or at least a few of them do. Great fight scenes continue. Looking forward to learning more about Mika and how he got to be the way he is. The whole company aspect seems interesting too!
Watched ep.2 and I had that feeling of excitement when it started, haven`t had that feeling in a long time 😀
SPOILER ALERT ! Do not read further if you haven`t watched episode 2 !

Seems there will be a time limit ( for now hopefully) on how long Mika will be able to fight, that ought to make things more interesting 🙂 I`m sad that…[Read more]
I think the line “oh crap I forgot to refuel the thrusters” was a nice touch. Remember that Barbatos was just a power generator with missing half of cockpit. Since it was put together on short notice it was inevitable that some things were omitted or forgotten.
Now i just hope Bandai wont screw this up. The best Gundam in a long time as for now.
I thought that bit was a little cheezy, though understandable. But I guess they didn’t want Barbatos and Mika to own everyone right away. Needed to hold him back a bit;)
i’m really liking the story so far. and the whole dark theme, demon names etc. is it true it’s inspired by or an indirect reference to Tekketsu Kinnotai? apparently it transaltes to the “Iron and Blood Corps,” which was a fighting unit comprised of around 1500 young adolescents during WWII’s Battle of Okinawa. they’re mostly kids fighting… found…[Read more]
