On the other side of the equation – from what I’ve heard, one of the problems with the ABS frames is that they could potentially crack apart if painted. Trade-offs either way, I guess.

I think the Ver. Ka. also suffers from this issue. A single coat or two of clear acrylic paint on the hand peg might do, or Acrylic Nail Polish.
