Need a little advice.. I started working on my Zaku II red comet.. I’ve lined all the panels.. here it is.. is it better to flat coat the parts before assembly or after? I’ve never gone this far with a gunpla model before. My hyaku shiki was the first one I panel lined (what a panel lines it has). Thanks in advance!

    • If you’re not concerned about the time and more paint issue, I would go for the individual parts. Then you get the best cover and no parts will be left uncovered. It will also help stiffen the joints.
If paint and time is an issue, you could do them limb by limb. So take off the legs and arms, spray them when they are straight and all bent. This will give you the best covering on all the limbs.
Just as good advice, if you’d like quicker answers, please refer to the Q/A&Help Group in the future

    • Time is not an issue. The longer it takes the better the results. I’m just a bit scared to attempt weathering and dry brushing. Maybe on a cheaper kit. Or better yet one of my old ones.

Thanks for the advice and letting me know about the Q&A section.. I’ll look there from now on.
