You didn’t fail! I really hope my Kapool come out this nice! I’m going for the same effect but with a darker shade of green.

End result is quite effective, in my opinion.
How did you execute that ? Multiple layers of paint, or weathering powders, etc. ?

How did you execute that ? Multiple layers of paint, or weathering powders, etc. ?

1) created texture with poly cement
2) primer
3) layer of rust paint (Valleyo Model Air light rust)
4) added some brown paint with sponge on some places (next time ill definitely add way more)
5) clear paint coat
6) coat of hair spray
7) pre shading
8) main color layer (after it dried use a brush with water to chip the paint
9) another clear coat (to make the paint stay on model)
10) weathering.
11) top coat.

A lot of work. To be honest i made many mistakes (i didn’t wait proper time before painting main color after pre shading and the paint chipped in those places. Luckily it worked well with the theme of the kit.
