Old HG kit Kapool. Rather old cheap kit that is right to test some techniques.
The goal of this build would be to experimenting with adding texture to the kit – some rust and so on.

What i can tell about the kit so far… Ultra limited mobility of the limbs – especially the arms. Still for its age the kit looks rather good.

What was already done:
-Glued the kit to prepare to remove seams (although kit itself is snap fit) – apart from the hands (claws need to be painted first.
– added texture to right side of the kit (apart from the arms)

To add a texture i used a poly cement and a tooth brush technique. Basically you put glue on the piece and just brush it. You have to do it rather quickly cause in 15-20 seconds glue starts to already set in. After it hardens just use some sand paper on the part to make it less rough.
This technique has one major disadvantage – you are melting plastic so it isnt as easy reversible as using tamiya putty technique. But its cheaper and a bit faster cause you can see the texture after 20-30 seconds.
