    Updates on my X Mao

So far pretty good, used the nippers and then hobby knife. Got better at it. Using the knife is getting easier but it’s still difficult. As you can see at the back are some spots. I don’t know what to do. Help please !!!

You can always use a gundam marker or real touch marker to hide the discolouration, other than that there isn’t too much you can do if your using a hobby knife.
In my experience though it’s only really visible discolouration on blue and dark red plastc.

    • Thanks for he advice Nick. Just hope that my markers arrive soon.

    • If you are not painting then markers are one of the best ways to go. I find that when cutting the parts free from the tree cut as far away from the part as possible, where the gate goes from flat to round works best for me. When using the knife cut as little off as possible with each pass, should come off like shavings and not big chunks. Last, take a trip to your local nail salon. Ask for an emery board and a polishing pad. The emery board is great for getting the area around the gate and the nub to be flush with each other. The polishing pad is AMAZING for buffing the plastic to a nice shiny surface again (Used when not painting the kit). This is the order that i follow with great results. Hope this helps
