so…whats the word on the competition? when will be the winners be anounced?
Competition closed on the 1st, winners will be notified and announced by the 31st, that’s all I know from the competition page.
Waiting is the worst part.
There are so many outstanding builds. Judging winners must be rough too. I think that’s why they set aside a month to do it.
The competition lasted for 4 months since August 2013, so in that 4 months they should have receives tons of entries from all 3 categories…
Yeah I agree that waiting is the worst part, especially if you can’t wait to show your pics of what you have did at anywhere else. I’m not really hoping to win, more of learning experience for me lol 🙂
That was my mindset going into this. It was the 1st time building a kit under a deadline. And it was the 1st time using my new airbrush set up. So it was mostly a learning experience for me as well.
700+ people, overall to go over their final submissions, would be fun to look at, but picking 10 leading models for each group would be a nightmare.
This has been my best build to date, and then I learned about seam line removal after doing all the paint (although I’d have to learn how to mask everything that would need to be assembled to the piece in question…Like the legs). I’m probably going to get bumped to intermediate since I airbrushed everything, went into beginner based more on my experience, than what I was doing to the model.
I had fun though.

Well, providing everyone submitted a final entry anyway.
And it’s an open contest. So bots, ships, planes, tanks, cars, dioramas in any scale. Very crazy.
how are they gonna announce it? 1 more week? haha
Few more days, most likely by a Gunpla TV episode. =O
Yeah. Ohh! A HobbyLink.TV awards show. Maybe with tuxedos. Fancy.
Maybe the 50 foot RX-78, will do the announcing of the winners;)

Correct me if I am wrong but If you watch the latest episode of hobbylink tv. Ryan mentioned the annuncement would be in early Feb instead.. so may be Feb 3?
