Colored my sword with sharpies cause i thought the PLAIN white plastic wasnt doing it for me 🙁 I used silver sharpie for the blade Purple for the handle and black for hilt guard. and i panel lined the blade too. I think it turned out decent for my frist time 🙂

    • sharpie is good, but make sure to top coat it, if not the paint might come off or wear off and become dull
      Good Luck!

      • that sounds too fancy for me 🙁

        • Nope, it’s easy!

          • Then could you perhaps provide some suggestions on brand? and how to use it? and price range?

            • I’m still learning, myself! Price range will be from $5-10 per product, and your best bet is to experience with different kinds using the “spoon test.” You take some plastic spoons, paint ’em with sharpies or whatever other paint you use, and try different topcoats on them to make sure the paint isn’t damaged. Modelers like to use stuff like Mr Top Coat, but it can be hard to find (and expensive). I’ve also heard a lot of good things about Tamiya topcoats, and Pledge Future Shine (a kind of floor wax), but I haven’t tried them personally yet. (Going to on a few test pieces this winter, though!)

Practice is your best friend, just like with any other kind of painting. You’ll find tons of tons of tutorials online for topcoating; just use the one that works best for you!

    • look nice!
