    MG or RG? 🙂

    • I’ve been asking the same question lately. I’ve been building MGs and some part of me is saying I should try an RG kit. But my wallet is suggesting its not a good idea.

      • I’ll let you know how the RG kit is. I finally decided to give it a go and got myself the MK2.

      • I own RG Freedom, Zeta and now Strike Freedom and I must say they are a blast to build. My only regret is actually buying Zeta, because that transformation gimmick sucks. I am a huge fan of the Zeta, but that is one kit I regret buying. Freedom was so much fun to put together, it’s just back heavy. Strike Freedom is the same way, but my problem is that the right arm cannot rotate and it’s super loose. It can’t hold the rifle very well. I probably got a bad kit, but it still is worth it with a broken arm.

      • RG’s are cheaper then most MG’s to both buy and ship, trust me take the plunge, its well worth it. If your looking for a standout kit, the Strike and GP01 Zepharanties have been great. the Freedom was a nice surprise as well. But then again go with a kit that you are interested in :P..

    • Both are awesome. The only reason that makes me choose the MG over the RG is the scale difference and that the RG’s seem a bit too slim which kind of gives the impression that they are a bit flimsy. However, saying that I do have every RG apart from the strike freedom and the GP01 FB and love them. The price difference of almost half price when compared to their MG counterpart is very relieving on the wallet. And also, the two Mk II’s and the GP01 Zephyranthes are very solid kits.

    • I’d say MG. I love the RG line, but if you value the design novelty when you build a kit, MG wins hands down, because you get to build a frame and the process varies depending on the kit. You rarely get that with a pre-built frame (RG Zeta/Skygrasper and both GP01 kits are a nice break from that, but these are just 4 kits out if 15, so…).

    • Tough Question. I think I might actually Say Real Grade……MG’s are lovely and hold a special place but the real grade line has been a real treat and are more consistent with quality. The real grade line is doing what the master grades were doing in the early 2000’s comparing them to the high grades released. Pushing the boundary of what can be done in a model kit, pushing the detail that can be placed into such a small kit. and with gimmicks from a MG. I cant help but get excited each kit that has come out since I made the plunge (Ive built 6 kits with a 7th in emergency atm) with only two exceptions (the Strike Freedom and the Exia). That’s my two cents on the issue.

    • Thanks guys it really helped a lot, i really appreciate it 🙂

    • Depends on the kit, I got rg strike freedom over the pg thanks to positive reviews for its level of detail.

Otherwise its MG for me, I like them big (although mg strike freedom’s effect stand is depressing)

    • Depend on the kit quality and the model of. I maybe leaning more onto the RG line as they’re smaller and more affordable. (I don’t have a large room for my kits and they’re now mostly stashed away).

If its a Gundam I love to bits, both MG and RG…
