I bought a gundam from japan while i was there for holidays! It was a big burden as it was big but yet, still feeled with excitment as i carried home. This mega size gundam was indeed fun to build and to make it more challenging, i decided to paste these water stickers and do a little markings as i have never done it before even though i built many gundams. My parents find that buying a gundam is only a toy and waste of money but to me, it is not a toy, but a true hobby to put your heart and soul into it, and thus, i also result in lack of tools to work with the gundam. All of my gundams that i had were made simply by just cutting and not even clearing the nubs found. As i did not want to bother my parents, i saved up my own money just to buy a gundam home. All the tools i had is just a cutter borrowed from my brother as he is an electrical engineer. To clean up the nubs just for this gundam, i used a rusty razor blade (cause there weren’t any blade i have is as sharp as that) and to have a better looking, i just took a thin black marker to mark the lines as i did not have a Gundam marker. It was really fun to build this RX-78-2 Gundam and i find that my efforts were paid off. These were my working progress during the november week…
nice..until now I just used only nail clipper to cut from the runner and hobby knife that I bought at 100 yen shops in my country…nice kit but I thought megasize dont need any cutter as it can be easily separated from the runner using the supplied gunpla parts separator that its bundled with?
The parts connected to the wire is indeed thin but still, im afraid that if that there might be a breakage, thus i still use the cutters to cut. Even if it is easily seperated just by pulling out, some edges are still left behind to cut off..
