Hello, my name is Reylia.
This is my first post on the forum and my first time participating in a gunpla competition 🙂 I’m into gunpla for about 2 years now. I began to hand paint them for the last year mainly HGUC kits ( and some MG ver KA too ). This time I would like to introduce you a big bad yellow guy from gundam Zeta :
HGUC PMX-003 The-O.
this post will contain the WIP on this kit. Mostly detailling the inner parts and piping + some basic building. I hand painted almost everything with acrylics ( Valejo paint ) some tamiya enamels and some dry brush for metallic effects.
The next post will contain the finals shots at the-O :
Hope you guys enjoy and all feedbacks are appreciated 🙂

Nice paint job!
Thank you 🙂 but you will see better the paint job on my last post with the complete build
Haha, I know myself how difficult is to do a good habd painting.
Hehe but i can’t use airbursh or can spray at home 🙁
Same here. What paint brands do you use? I use mostly Vallejo and Revell and some Tamiya paints. Vallejo is good in terms of opacity but its durability is limited since you can scratch it very easy. Revell and Tamiya can be quite bitchy, it varies from color to color.
I’m using Vallejo and gunze mostly ( I like gunze as they are pretty easy to use and more solid than the vallejo ) and tamiya for detailing. as for the enamel paints i use tamiya and Humbrol for panel lining and reverse wash.
Me as well, but I’ve found a solution: https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/1175230_572797809424104_2017591957_n.jpg
@Michael : Hello, nice picture from your window 🙂
I can’t do the same as you because i’m living in a big city ( Paris ) in an appartment and I really can’t open the windows to spray ( not to mention the noise )
I was thinking about a painting booth but not for now :p
Well, same here – Moscow, apartment building 5th floor.
too cold to airbrush outside no ?
The photo was taken in late August – I was painting the parts of MG RX-78-2 v3 which I took with me on a lengthy business trip do Dublin. Haven’t painted anything since then. The lowest acceptable temperature for me is 17-18C . When I was back (mid-October) it was 10C already. I guess next painting season will begin in May for me.
P.S. – I’m using sprays so far, although I’m thinking of getting an airbrush next year.
