So I think I’ve hit a bit of a rut with the Tieren… I wanted to make it a bit more interesting, so I decided to do some camo on the leg shield, only it failed miserably, (using masking tape was a bad idea) and I’ve stripped back the paint and re-primed it now. Does anyone have any tips for doing good camo patterns? I think I might have to give up on that idea, and just focus on getting the damage and weathering looking as good as I can. I have some decals too, which will hopefully look pretty good.

    • What was going wrong with the masking tape?
Silly putty is actually a pretty good, pretty simple method for applying traditional (i.e. not digital) forms of camo, so you might try that.

      • It was just really messy,. It seemed like the paint was seeping through and there was like a residue or somethjng under it, it looked terrible. Come to think of it, it might have been because I was trying to paint a light colour over the top of a dark colour. I might re-do it going light to dark, I haven’t had issues with masking tape before.
