Here it is, the completed MG AGE-1 Normal. Whew, it nearly took as long as my Red Frame. I painted the eyes, and after many tries, I got satisfying results. They don’t show up well on camera, which is a shame. I think I’m going to enter this as my final submission. While I like my Red Frame, I think I did a better job overall on this one. I had an idea in mind when I started this build, but made changes with the color layout as I went. I wanted a two-tone color scheme that had more than a hint of Real Grade in it, which is why I did the shins like that. I had problems top coating it, but everything worked out in the end. Here are photos of the AGE-1′s front and back, and I did a comparison with my Red Frame. Both are excellent MG’s but the AGE-1 always gets neglected because of the somewhat boring design. After building the model, the design has started to grow on me, and it’s really starting to look sharp. I think the Red frame still has it beat in terms of overall execution due to the virtually non-existent nubs, and the AGE-1′s elbow pops out of it’s socket if you bend the elbow too far.
