Hey guys, I’m thinking of building another kit for the competition, but I couldn’t decide on which on these wings should I build. Anybody got any experience with these kits? Opinion and ideas are very welcomed.

    • I have not. What are you looking to do with these kits? If you’re going to detail them up like crazy, mght be a good choice.

      • Pretty much just the original colors painted with gundam markers. I don’t think I can do anything else beside that.

    • Just finished building Wing Gundam HG for this, surprising amount of panel lining on the shield, buster rifle is too heavy for the hand to support it when trying to hold the gun level, and the wings are heavy, so Wing has to lean forward a little, or the wings have to be put in the flight mode. Haven’t built Wing 0 yet, so I don’t know how it goes together, or what problems you will run into I’m afraid.

      • Oh yeah, I saw you were airbrushing the 1/100 Wing. First of all, good job on that. And thanks for the input. I’ve seen videos saying that the panel lines on the older Wing 1/100 kits are too much. Besides what you said, does it have bad seam lines? I’ve built the 1/144 NG Wing and the parts were not molded that good, so pieces are lined up smoothly. Also, did you have to paint a lot of pieces to make them the right ones, or the color separation is good on this kit?

    • I built the HG (1:144) WZC. The old 1:144 EW line is pretty nice IMO, but there are a few rough edges – like the antenna and main camera housing are a bit chunky, and I think the sculpt of the feathers on the wings is a but crude. But all the same I think it’s the best representation of the WZC wings in plastic kit form – without the hinge blocks of the 1:100 HG or the weird skeletal structure of the PG or the goofy separating panels of the MG. It’s the only version of the wings that has a good sculpt on both the outer and inner surfaces.

      • Did you have to paint a lot? From what I see from the plastic in the box, it’s really similar to the old NG wing kits, you pretty much have to paint everything to match the box color. Anyway, thank you for your input on this.

        • I painted the entire model, naturally. To do less is a waste of a kit. 🙂

          • well DERP! haha of course. Thing is I have to paint with gundam markers. Probably I have to invest in some spray paints.

        • It’s not too bad on panel lines, I was informed about seam lines and I watched a brief video on removing them after I did most of the paint, which I will try out on the next kit. If you’re not painting the kit, then glue and sanding is going to be required, slightly big step between front and back around the collar area, most of it fits together well but that main gun hand will need something done to support the rifle, I was thinking tape or that poster tac stuff.
