I have to say that i am in awe of some of the other entrys i see so far in this catagory i am sure alot of you are seriously underestimating your skill with these things ! So yesterday i finished my build with a total time of just over six hours. I really enjoy the build part of these kits so its a shame its finnished. In hind sight i would have chosen a more difficult kit as in the twenty odd years since i remember building the last one it seems to have got easier , or i have just got better with age ;-). Im glad i have my master grade Sazabi to look forward to at christmas now. The only real challenge with this kit was the stickers , the eyes and little blue sticker in the top of his head especially , fat fingers really dont help and the stickers along the front edge of the wings on the back pack are very difficult to get on without creasing. On inspection this morning the wing stickers have also started pealing off so i may decide to remove them completely and , together with the rest of the kit , paint it.
In regard to painting the model i used to paint alot of warhammer miniatures as a teenager and still have some of the paint (the rest have dried out somewhat) so will probably use this . I think the model will benefit from some paint effects and i really want to have a go at battle damage and severe weathering , can anyone suggest a good how to video ? Im ok with washes and dry brushing etc from my warhammer days but damage reprisentation and keeping it to scale is something i have never tried but would like to. My WIP pictures and finished suit pictures ….
pics didn’t post. pitty, I was eager to see what you were talking so well about
Thanks for pointing that out , have posted pics now.

Now, these are if you’re into painting your stuff. All waterslides and pretty cheap if you ask me. The quality’s quite good too. I’ve used them a couple of times.
You can also contact them on http://old.samueldecal.com/ where you can check their site and whatnot. Its pretty dated compared to their facebook page so you might try there first. Once you’re off the regular stickers and on to waterslides there’s no going back. 🙂
About weathering, I’ve learned alot from this guy. Here are two videos about weathering and battle damage.

You’ve got all kinds of interesting stuff and some tutorials too. So pick your poison. Hope that helped. 😉
Excellent , thanks.
To be honest, every time I do something like this I’m a little bit reserved as I don’t know what the response will be. YouTube people would already use all sorts of bad lingo hence why I’m reluctant of doing this. Though it does help to (maybe) learn something new that you didn’t know before, some still think that being nice in general is a flaw and choose not to be.
I’ve been into GunPla for some two years now, learned a lot, to say the least. But joining HLTV a few months ago really boosted my knowledge about painting and model building in general, by being nice and asking what I dodn’t know, bugging people and in general just being boring and so far, no one turned me down. Well, do enjoy yourself.
say tim, how are you adding the vidio’s into the comments
