Sounds good, man! How are you liking the build so far? I’ve always been interested in the Wing Zero Custom, but have always opted to buy others whenever I can. :/
The build is good. A sturdy kit IMO, and it also comes with a base. If you’ve built the wing ver. ka/EW before it’s 80% the same, with the difference being the wings, rifles, and some parts on the arms. The downside is, since it’s a 2004 kit the old MG hands kinda sucks holding the rifle (based on wing EW that I’ve built) since it doesn’t have pegs.
I know, right? This hobby has set me back at least $400 this year…but it’s so fun! Bandai still hasn’t made any MG from the X series or a Tallgeese III, so if all of that is next year…I’ll be broke. x)
Interesting. Have you ever thought about kitbashing the 1/100 V2 with the MG Victory Ver. Ka? If you don’t care about the assault, buster, or assault-buster, it should be an easy enough modification. 🙂
I don’t know. I don’t have any experience on kitbashing lol, and from what I know from building the MG victory, I don’t think it’ll be easy. It’s really a flimsy kit with lots of moving parts.
Great idea! 😀 How do you plan on making the parts gold? Grey primer, silver, then clear yellow?
I’ll be using multiple shades of gold, and one of them will be made the way you mentioned. 😀 The others are gaianotes starbright brass & gold.
Looking forward to it! I’m assuming they’ll all be lacquer, if memory serves me right Gaia Notes paints are lacquer-based.
Thanks! 😀 Yep, I’ll be using lacquer based paints for most of them.

Hmm, I haven’t built any of the Wing kits, so I may hold off on that in favor of the Proto Zero. :3
I have the proto zero on pre-order. Can’t wait for it to become available xD
I should really do that soon, but my current X-2 project is sucking away the entirety of my ‘leisure budget.’ D:
Bandai puts quite a dent on my wallet this year (T.T) A lot of my favorite kits are coming out this year lol.

Yep. I’ve lost count on how much I’ve spent this year. xD The MGs I’m waiting for are the Double X and V2 gundam.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen gold Wing Zero before, but I bet it’s going to look awesome.
Good luck!
🙂
