I wanted to use masking fluid but it was easier to use blu-tac. After I used putty and textured paint to get the warped metal effect, I primed in grey then the light green colour (What i’m called ‘Turn X Green.’) Then I rolled up and twisted some blu-tac and gentle applied it to the part. I twisted it so I would get the irregular pattern you can see at the bottom. Then I spray dark green in very short bursts so the paint didn’t pool around the blu-tac. I’ve had the happen before. Finally top coat and washed. It still needs to be dry brushed but that will come after a put the decal on.
