Intermediate Modeler – Modeling Competition 2013 9 years, 5 months ago Greetings All, I am entering this contest with 1/144 HG MSN-06S Sinanju. This will be my first time building a Sinanju Gundam, but figured I would try something new for this year. I always hear the praise of this model, but I wanted to do something different. For me the easiest thing is color changes and minor removal and adding of parts and plastic. I have added two different color schemes, and might be a mix of both of them still by the time I am done. Thanks, trying new color than my normal use for painting, and didn’t want to make it a complete repaint color change of the red Sinanju. So hopefully it comes out unique and different,

Everyone is painting…and I’m over here with no painting experience ._.
It takes time and practice, and a feel for what you want your gundams to look like. I started with Gundam Wing series and the only painting I did was anything that was a sticker I painted. I just don’t care for stickers, I think they just don’t last long enough or look good enough. So most of my Gundam Wing series ones have silver belts instead of white, and I painted the black and green eyes. This was like 13-14 years ago, so start small and work your way up. I am just now feeling good about a full gundam paint, but only by spray paint and hand brush. Still not sure on the airbrushing method yet. But good luck, and remember there are things you can do without “painting” to make a model look good. Like panel lining with a 005 tip black pen. just an idea, good luck
