Intermediate Modeler – Modeling Competition 2013 9 years, 5 months ago I’d like to submit a question.
I have an RG Gundam Mk II and an RG Zeta i took off the runners and put a coat of primer on. Here are pictures of the Mk II. Can I enter them or do i really need to have done NOTHING to them? I joined a bit after this contest started.. These guys are just ‘dry fitted’ and have a light dusting of tamiya fine primer spray. Won’t bother to post the pix of other until I see what the people making the rules think of this. I have an HG Messala and an HG Marasai in this exact same state. I’ve kept all the runners and boxes and glued nothing.
Also, I have new Doven Wolf HGUC as well. But I have not even primered it. Though I did dry-fit it. I just now found out about the contest and I always like to dry-fit my kits before paint and glue.. because Im like a kid at christmas when the box arrives from HLJ.
So whats the word on having done a tiny bit on them? I will be painting EVERYTHING, airbrushing, gluing where needed, and light weathering.

i think that as long as you havent POSTED pictures of the one you are going to submit online anywhere else before you posted here you should be ok. did you read the rules and watch the video?
you do have to show the box of what you will enter, plus at least 4 work in progress pics/posts before you submit your final entry
These new kits have not had any pictures posted anywhere other than here just now. That much I remember from the video rules
I have watched the video. But i have not found the link to the complete written rules. I am new to these forums and I’m a bit lost. It seems like each ‘group’ is just one long ‘stream of consciousness’ thread and I’d have to hit the ‘show me more’ button a hundred times to get back to the first post where the rules probably are. What am I missing? I’m used your more typical PHPBB type of forum where you click on a ‘group’ and there are sub-posts within that. navigating is easier, for me.

2nd. now I’m Not @Ryan or @Syd, but i do believe thier intention was to prohibit something build and done before to discourage people from just using something they already had built, but to encourage everyone to start at the same rough time and see what get’s created .
and yeah, this “group” system is a little chaotic, but you do get used to it, popular groups (akin to threads) are always in a box to your right .
Hopefully I can get one of the official guys to chime in here shortly. I have 4-5 kits i’d like to possibly enter.. of course only one of them will be the final entrant..

I have the Boxes and runners for all of them
I have removed them all from runners and dry-fit them
I have put one light coat of tamiya primer on them all except the doven wolf
The reason I do that is so i can then take it apart and see where good places to put my clamps on each part for when I airbrush.. a place that will not get hit with paint.
Anyhow. I can do detailed pictures of all to prove they aren’t built but I want to get someone official to state an opinion before I post up a pile of photos.

I think today I will go ahead and start a post for each kit. Hopefully the dryfit and a bit of primer won’t disqualify. but I am going to build them anyhow.
How do you get the attention of a moderator to make sure of these sorts of issues?
