Intermediate Modeler – Modeling Competition 2013 9 years, 5 months ago This is my first WIP for the contest. I will be kit bashing the 1/100 MG Gundam MKII V1.0 and the 1/100 HG Gundam Leopard. The intention is to make a circa 1998 Master grade of the HG Gundam Leopard. The top half of the kit will be the Gundam Leopard with a customer colour scheme. The MG Gundam MKII V1.0 only had an inner frame for the legs and I will be gluing the Gundam Leopard’s amour on the top. I’m going to attempt to mod the feet and shoulder to increase the amount of articulation. Simple. I’ll also be ordering some third part decals but i’m in no rush for that since we have until January, right?

Oh, I know, haha. I’ve still to build my second X Divider, but it’ll get an MG conversion someday!
I always felt The Divider was a downgrade for the Gundam X, that’s why I didn’t get it. I have the X and Double X. I want Gundam X Master Grades but until then I have to do it myself, if I can lol.
I know what you mean. Technically speaking, it is a downgrade from Gundam X as it loses the satellite cannon. However, I like it because it’s symmetrical and I prefer close-combat (especially on SDGO). There’s just that allure of chivalry that comes along with it. Besides, the beam harmonica is a very unique weapon. :3
I never thought of that. I like the Leopard because I think of it as super grunt.

That’s exactly what I thought when I read your post LOL. I got a 1/100 virsago in a few days ago and am trying to figure out how to convert it to a chest breaker for my diorama.

You’re making a 1/100 Virsago Chest Break!!! Better you than me. The feet, chest and wings are completely different. But good luck I’d love to some work in progress photos.

Better you than me. The chest would probably be simple. I’d used my old 1/100 Gundam Heavyarms Customs from the spare parts pile and cannibalise the chest and doors. The feet and wings could be made from scratch with pla plate. The only way to get better at this hobby is to try something a little beyond you ability, like my MG Leopard. Even Vegeta8259 had to start somewhere and now he’s building his own model kits.
