Did one of several mods to my HG Z’Gok last night. Basically all I did was drill a hole into the piece that the monoeye would be at (well, maybe drill is not the right word) with my hobby knife, making it just big enough to fit a piece of pink runner into it. I will be getting a clear LED, as well as a watch battery holder for it. In the mean time, enjoy the picture of a pink monoeye lighting up with a flash light.

    • Nice one, good to see more builds with leds.

    • I really want to add a LED to either the kit I am entering here or a future kit. I’ve never done it before, any good resources or tips?

      • Well, bear in mind that LEDs do have voltage limitations. Most of the time, they can vary from 1.5 to 2.2 volts. Some batteries can go as little from 1.5 to 6 volts. You NEVER want to attach a 9v for low voltage because the thing will pop. I’m no real expert (I’ve dabbled with electronic assembly) but there are some resources out there for this type of application. I believe there are also several youtube videos that go into it. Just gotta look.
