quick question if i’m painting in enamel paint (panel lines & body) should i change one of the paint types ?

    • You can top coat after painting the body, then do a panel wash.

    • You dont have to. If you are using enamel for both body and for panel lines I think you should spray gloss top coat after painting your kit. Gloss top coat leaves a smooth surface making your panel lining with enamel to run smoothly. When top coat completely dries then that’s the time you do your panel lines using enamel paint. Doing Panel line with enamel uses a lot of thinner, about 80% thinner and 20% enamel paint. Without top coat, it can ruin your paint job. Be sure to use enamel thinner when panel lining and not lacquer thinner. Lacquer thinner can eat trough the top coat and enamel paint. Then after your done you can spray top coat again, this time its your choice if you want it gloss again or flat. Good luck to your paint job! @sunny d 🙂
