Beginner Modeler – Modeling Competition 2013. 9 years, 6 months ago My current progress on the RG Zeta-3 and a couple pics from the time of unboxing. I will be using waterslides instead of these stickers and as a bonus I’ll throw in fully articulated hobby base hands.

And when I say time of unboxing I mean all but one picture were taken five minutes ago and not on monday when I actually unboxed it.
That looks sweet. Are the marking decals just stickers, dry transfer, or water slide?
The ones in my pics are the ones that came with the kit and are normal stickers. Apparently the RG stickers are thinner than normal HG/MG ones but you can still see the edges after topcoating so I’m getting waterslides instead. Waterslides will not have the metallic parts though so I’ll either cut those parts out from the stickers or just paint them in.
For the eyes/camera I’ll paint them silver and go over with transparent blue and give the area around the eyes a black reverse wash.
Ah, I wish they were waterslides. It’s sometimes a toss-up with Bandai. Some limited edition kits, they include waterslides whereas others just have stickers. :/
Sounds like a good plan to me! Are you going to scan the stickers and make waterslides yourself or order them from SamuelDecal?
yeah I ordered them from samueldecal along with waterslides for sinanju (official ones were sold out at the time) and now I’m just waiting for them to arrive.

I noticed that you used the Hobby Base hands. I’m disappointed by the fact that they didn’t use PG style hands for this model. 🙁
