Like everything new, it will take some getting used to the new version. I can see how it will be able to grow out the community(ies) with its flexibility. One thing I found is that there doesn’t seem to be a central place that shows what the most recent videos are, as there was with the old site’s front page grid. I find I’m having to do a heck of a lot of scrolling to find things like the latest T.T. and Boss Build videos. Maybe it will just take becoming more familiar with the new functionality. I’m finding some things, though, are not immediately intuitive to me, such as posting comments. Still, I see a lot of good potential with the new site.

    • I believe the top page has the most recent posts. And you could click on a category to show the “grid” you were talking about.

      • True, but whereas the old grid was a single place that showed updates across multiple categories (Gunpla TV, Toy Tengoku, Boss Builds, etc), the new site requires having to click on each category individually to see if it has been updated. Plus, with the most-recent-post-at-the-top format of the new site’s home page, a lot of scrolling is required just to get past the banner portion of the page to get to the most recent posts, due to the limited screen real-estate. I just find it a lot more work to find general information.

        • True. However I did find that if click on see more at the bottom it expands to show more posts, then if you click it again it takes you to hobbylink.tv/blog which I believe shows the latest posts across categories.

Perhaps they should make that a link somewhere more prominent.

          • Ah. Interesting. At the point where it switched to the hobbylink.tv/blog and expanded into three columns across, I clicked on “Newest” at the bottom right corner and it included the most recent posts across all the categories. Exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, just really cumbersome to get to. I’d be happy if they had some way to get to the hobbylink.tv/blog showing automatically the “Newest” posts somewhere from the top of the home page.

            • Yeah, Ryan seems to be reasonable. He has implemented changes I have requested before. Perhaps he will hear our plea!
