Just came from HLJ, shall I start?

    • I got the titanium finish version that also just arrived yesterday.

    • Cool I got the same one but mine comes with the head display

    • This is better than the MG version in terms of posability. The MG’s polycaps just cannot hold the guy in place…

      • And it falls apart all the time!

        • @philliptan & @woodfish Sucks to hear that for the MG Unicorn. Either of you build the Version Ka Full Armor? And if so did it have those same problems (before putting all those weapons on)?

          • My FA Unicorn still sitting in the box…

            • I’d say maybe after your RG Strike Rouge but going from all those stickers to a ver. Ka may drive somebody a bit crazy. Lol! Well I better start saving now as I want the MG Strike Freedom Full Burst mode and the FA Unicorn once I get a few MGs under my belt.

              • Yes, no pls! Stickers can be a chore! These days I try to ease the problem by applying stickers once I finish a part instead of doing it only when i complete the model… it helps that way lol… Hmm… after the RG Strike Rouge I’ll put the next build up for vote!

                • Sadly I lost 2 or 3 stickers on my RG Zaku II barely breathing on them when trying to put them on. I noticed they love to fly off the sticker sheet when you try to take off with a hobby knife too, thankfully I saved all of those.

Luckily only 1 of them is noticeable as it is a front chest sticker, but posing I think might mask that. Now if just that humidity would clear outta here so I could top coat it finally…… =P

                • On an MG Full Armor Unicorn, application of stickers after you finish a part is the only way to go because, when you’re done, the weapons and all you won’t be able to come close to the kit due to so much stuff attached to it. I’ll take a few photos of mine once. To me, a Unicorn is a super good looking suit that’s designed well with no parts swapping so a full transformation. This results in TINY parts and isn’t enjoyable to assemble/paint at all. Once done it’s a pain to transform this guy. As a side note I can add that this guy, in any of his MG forms isn’t for people that like to play with their kits a lot. Even the regular unicorn is a brick kit. You complete it and don’t touch it or the parts will come off/get broken. As a painter I can say another thing. Once painted and after you transform the parts get scraped in the transformation and transforming it again into whichever mode will leave your completed gem with scrape marks. Decide a mode you’ll have him in and leave it like that.

                  • Thanks for the advice Daniel @woodfish!

                    • It’s not much of an advice Phill as much me, trying to act smartypants… I feel bad after reading what I wrote because I sound like a stuck-up douche. Hope I didn’t do it this time around though. With that said all I have to add is that, being a pain to build I find Full Armor Unicorn an AMAZINGLY LOOKING MG kit, though it is a brick kit. On a stand it measures 40cm total hight, 40cm lenght and 23cm width. And you’ll need a stand for this guy without a question. It’s sooo big! (That’s what she said!)

                      • Nah, @woodfish… no way you are a stucked up douche. We all have different levels in this hobby and as long as you are nice enough to look at my post and reply without cringing, you’re cool LOL… I may have tons of Gunpla but I know I’m not at a high level cos I’ve not bothered to invest the time to do airbrushing or what not. Got lotsa hobbies other than this. To each his own I’d say… thanks for replying Daniel! 🙂

                  • @woodfish That saddens me a little cause I bought my MG Unicorn and wanted to play around with it after painting.

                    • It’s not “unplayable” per se. You’ll just have to take that chance it might get damaged in the process. I guess it comes down how thick your layers get. And if you don’t mind fixing a scratch or two even better. 🙂 To me, once a model is done, assembled and painted, it goes on a shelf and stands there in some neat pose and that’s it. Pretty much like a figure. You could say that each and every kit I build becomes a brick kit to me. 🙂

            • Same like me bro, don’t have time to build!, ;((

    • Post some update 🙂
