I’m building the Jehuty HD Edition from Kotobukiya.
I’m just came back from Japan Expo in Paris and now in my house in south of France. I started it a bit just before leaving for the capital and I’m now continuing it.
I wanted to do a metallic and shiny version of it so I’m painting it with those Tamiya cans:
    – Light Metallic Blue
    – Champagne Gold
    – Metallic Black
    – Pearl White
    – Primer: Tamiya Fine Surface Primer
    – Top Coat: Tamiya Pearl Clear

But I have a question for panel lining on this one: some of the panel lines must be done with really light blue to simulate the energy lines like in the game. Since it’s a lighter color than those of the armor I thought of first doing this with white enamel then putting some clear blue on top of it. So does someone here made a Jehuty before and how did he made those color panel lines?

    • I did the panel lines by mixing white and clear blue like the instructions told me. It worked out pretty good.
This is how it turned out. http://i628.photobucket.com/albums/uu1/jgally88/Jehuty/DSCN4075.jpg

      • Thanks for the reply, your panel lines are really well done on this one.
It will be the first time I’ll do my own panel line paint as I usually use Tamiya panel line paints. Now all I have to do is dig up my old enamel paints hopping to find white and blue in there. I’ve already saw the tutorials for this but it showed only black. So before I start this the more thinner you mix with the paint makes it becoming clearer? Or does it stay the same color as you first mixed it?
